I passed this exam a year ago with this book and the practice exams. Aside from some work experience or hands on with some equipment, this book, and pratice exams, are all you need to pass. Of course, like all of the books in this series (being vendor neutral) they have great value as references after you've passed the exams.
This is a difficult but necessary certification to have for an aspiring wireless engineer (wifi). This book does a fantastic job of laying it out for you and helping you "connect the dots." If you've worked with wireless security protocols but don't know/understand the details, this book will help fill in the blanks. It is also exceptional preparation for the CWSP exam.
I found this book extremely informative. The authors have done a thorough job in explaining and repeating where necessary ,the important concepts behind Wi-Fi networking and breaches. The chapters are organized in a logical order. The comparison between various authentication/encryption methods are explained quite well. Whether you are a newbie or a pro in WLAN, you will find this book to be a great resource.
This book is great for both Wireless security reference and for preparation for the PW0-204 CWSP exam. The book is well written and is easy to follow. The included CD has flashcards, practice exams, white papers, and sample packet captures to solidify all of the wireless security concepts. If you are looking to prepare for the CWSP exam, buy this book.
I bought this book as a text book for a grad school class. The information in this book is a lot like that of the CISSP "a mile wide and an inch deep." The information given in the book covers a wide range of topics for wireless security, everything from wireless security policies to wireless security tools. This book is exactly what it is a certification prep study guide and seems to do a decent job of trying to prepare the reader for the CWSP. However if I did not have to buy this book I wouldn't for learning about wireless security and exploits. I'd choose a book specifically geared for wireless penetration testing and exploitation.
Coleman, Harkins and team have done it again. This is an excellent study guide that explains the essentials for understanding security in an 802.11 Enterprise or SOHO environment. All the fundamentals are clearly explained which ends up dispelling the myth that WiFi Security is a difficult concept.
This book is for anyone with an interest in wireless networks......from an experienced engineer, a new grad fresh out of university, and even to an amateur WiFi enthusiasts. This study guide is able to teach concepts in an easy to follow way, teaches non-vendor specific, and avoids confusing the reader by providing plenty of examples.
I've attended a couple of David Coleman's WiFi classes, and I do not know any other expert who can teach wireless the way that Coleman does. This book is essential for anyone that works with WiFi technologies.

David Coleman never ceases to get the point across.

I have attended David Coleman's CWSP class and have passed the exam on the first try. This book is a great refresher and I think it is a very good supplement for anyone pursuing their CWSP.
